Sorry for taking so long to respond
As you know, 0.9.14 brought a whole new sound overhaul to WoT, introducing Wwise which replaces FMOD as the sound engine.
This might be a good thing for Wargaming sound developers, but bad news(or it has already happened) to whoever made sound mods. Though Voice mods are technically simple to make, redoing over 200 sound events which consists of complex structure in this software is a nightmare. It might take too long for my patience to cope with, and in the end, I don't even know how I can set them up properly to make it work and sound like they did before. Especially now considering there are probably more parameters added that makes the engines and guns more dynamic.
Unless I was forced to do this at gunpoint, there might have been some chance I would do all this, though it's likely I would kill myself in the progress.
Had I foreseen this at the moment I started to make the gun sound mod for the Historical Realism team, I would surely have limited all of this work to just a few unique sounds, so there wouldn't be that much to do once Wwise is integrated.
My advice to you is to try and enjoy the current sounds of WoT, or completely stop playing it.
I doubt there's anyone in the world with the patience and time to actually make a 100% replica(or even 50%) of the mod in Wwise.
Unless someone is willing to take on this challenge of doing the Magnum Opus of sound mods, I will surely give all the template, and a proper .fsb unpacker for you to remake all of it in Wwise. That is, from how I see, only a God could do this
Unless we start a massive petition that flings gigantic turds into Wargaming's face, and lynch mobs of angry players rally around Wargaming's office demanding them to keep FMOD as a plugin in WoT so these mods can still be used, or God reveals himself to mankind just to continue the mods, I'd sadly have to say that for now, HR Gun sound mod and Gnomefather's Engines is officially dead.
But thank you all regardless of the immense support I have had through all these years of modding. It's almost been 4 years since I started, and it has definitely been a huge influence to how my life is today, and it will always be. It's been my greatest work, and I have never put more time into creating something else than this. It was surely an amazing time when I could think about how I can improve the sounds, and actually implement it into the game. That I had controll over some unofficial development that surely influenced the game. I hope I can experience this feeling of freedom and responsibility again
Thank you all so much.
Please don't cry ;_;
